“CARDIOIDS” – HUMAN HEARTS IN A DISH

The establishment of self-organizing heart organoids called cardioids, at IMBA – Institute of Molecular Biotechnology of the Austrian Academy of Sciences – has the potential to revolutionize research into cardiovascular disorders and congenital heart malformations.
