New mechanisms of stem cell regulation

Mei-P26 as a regulator for micro RNAs.

IMBA-Scientists have identified the protein Mei-P26 as a regulator for micro RNAs and cell growth in the Drosophila ovarian stem cell lineage. This indicates that there mght be a new family of micro RNA regulators that act specifically in stem cell lineages.
