Honorary Doctorate for Carl Djerassi

Carl Djerassi received an honorary doctorate from the Technical University of Graz, Austria.
In recognition for his brilliant work in Synthetic Chemistry, Carl Djerassi (“father of the pill”) received an honorary doctorate from the Technical University of Graz, Austria. Born 1923 in Vienna he spent the first few years of his life in the Captial of Bulgaria, Sofia and Vienna. He received 23 honorary doctorates and countless international awards for his research in more than 1.200 publications. The latest Austrian prize the scientist received was the bestowal of the “Ehrenring” from the Austrian Academy of Science in 2008. Carl Djerassi is since 2004 an Austrian Citizen again and a member of the IMBA Fundraising Committee.
