IMBA & AIL
Angewandte Innovation Laboratory
With the establishment of the Angewandte Innovation Laboratory (AIL) the University of Applied Arts Vienna seized the idea of the 19th century Viennese salon. The place was created to facilitate an open dialogue between people from different disciplines. This exchange among artists, economists and scientists should result in the emergence of innovative ideas.
The AIL offers an ideal platform for various forms of communication and exchange. Exhibitions, lectures, performances as well as discussions can take place there. Moreover the AIL Lounge offers a place to ponder.
Project Partners IMBA & AIL
IMBA – Institute of Moleculare Biotechnology of the Austrian Academy of Science is among the first partners for the AIL project. The facilities can be used by VBC members for any occasion beyond the lab. Networking with other creative minds in this relaxed surrounding can stimulate inspiring insights and ideas.
The AIL is open to the public Monday to Friday from 11:00am to 08:00pm. The newest highlight is the KochMittwoch (cookWednesday). Following the first come, first serve principle, meals are served from 12:00pm on a pay as you wish basis. Information on the current talks and exhibitions can be found under http://www.ailab.at.
