Scientific Meetings & Seminars

Seminars & Talks @ IMBA

At IMBA a broad spectrum of seminars is offered. They provide the opportunity for personal contact and scientific discussions and occasionally even pave the way for future collaborations.

VBC Seminars
are organized jointly with the partner institute IMP and other members of the Campus Vienna Biocenter. Leading scientists from all over the world regularly visit to present their work.
The VBC seminars cover a wide range of scientific topics and research fields and are open to the general public.

Friday Seminars are held weekly by members of the VBC (PhD students and Postdocs). They offer a perfect possibility to find out about the current work of colleagues from other institutes. For the speakers they present a valuable chance to get feedback on their work and rhetorical skills.
Please note that the Friday Seminars are open only to members of IMBA, our partner institute IMP and participants of the VBC PhD program.

Conferences & Scientific Meetings @ IMBA

Apart from regular seminars and talks, IMBA also organizes scientific meetings, conferences and symposia to encourage interdisciplinary knowledge and discussion between scientists. A significant annual event is the Microsymposium on Small RNAs at IMBA. The VBC PhD Symposium, a conference which takes place every year, is organized by the students themselves.
